Get Involved!
Welcome to all and thank you for your interest in becoming involved at Pentecost. Whether you are a longtime member, a new member, or someone interested in learning more about Pentecost, we invite you to participate. Based on what your gifts, interests, and passions are, there is a place for you here.
Our mission statement says, "we will value... the gifts of God's creation..." and feel that each one of us can offer our talents to fulfill the mission of Pentecost. Please determine where your time and talents fit and then get involved. If you have volunteered before, you know what a great feeling it can be. You also know that you receive much more in return. If you haven't volunteered before--start now. Here we offer some ideas for you to consider.
Offer your time beyond Sunday morning. This might include helping with a meal, education, or cleanup at Family Night. If you just want to come to church on Sunday morning, you can help before, during, or after church. You could usher, greet worshippers, read the lesson, assist with communion, or offer a gift of music. If that doesn't interest you, consider helping with a meal at Serenity Inns, helping with the SALT youth program, or working on a team such as Outreach or Worship. Maybe you would prefer to donate to the food pantry or clothing bank. Whether you want to meet more people, work outdoors or indoors, or work quietly and alone, there are always opportunities available. Maybe you're not sure what you would like to do. Either way, call the church office and someone will guide you and help you get started. We look forward to seeing you and hope you will consider giving the gift of your time.
